Prof Janet Sluggett is a Professor in Pharmacy and Pharmacoepidemiology, NHMRC Emerging Leadership 2 Fellow and Enterprise Fellow at Adelaide University. She is an Affiliate Post-doctoral Researcher at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).

Janet is a pharmacist and her research focuses on using real world data to maximise the benefits and reduce the risks relating to medicines use among older people receiving community and residential aged care services. Janet also conducts research to support new models of pharmacy practice.

Janet is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (FPS), Advanced Pharmacy Australia (FAdPha) and the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (FANZCAP, Research and Leadership & Management).

Janet is a Non-Executive Director of the Australian MedicAlert Foundation and Southern Cross Care SA, NT & VIC. She has previously been a visiting research fellow at the Kaiser Permanente National Implant Registries in San Diego and the Kuopio Research Centre for Geriatric Care, University of Eastern Finland.
