Jonathon is a Research Officer working across multiple healthy ageing and aged care projects for the Population Health Program, Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity Theme. Jonathon was awarded First Class Honours for his thesis in Social Work, a qualitative exploratory study of the experiences of human service workers engaging with Aboriginal participants of the NDIS on Kaurna Land and is currently completing a Master of Health and Human Services at the University of Melbourne. In 2022, Jonathon completed a community mapping report on aged care and disability services for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities for the Parliament of South Australia and held a short-term contract with the University of South Australia where he conducted a literature review on cross-national social work with emphasis on colonial/post-colonial societies. Additionally, Jonathon has worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in the community service sector. Through these roles, Jonathon  has developed strong research interests in the application of social and cultural determinants of health in medical models of human service practice and the intersect of policy and practice in aged care and disability services.
