Dr Melissa Cantley is a NHMRC Early Career Research Fellow working in the Myeloma Research Laboratory at the University of Adelaide and a Faculty Research Fellow located at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Her research interests revolve around bone cell biology and role of the complex bone microenvironment in disease. This includes the blood cancer multiple myeloma and understanding the role of the bone microenvironment in progression from pre-cancerous stages. She also focuses on drug targeting of bone loss in chronic inflammatory diseases such as periodontitis.
