A/Prof Peter Azzopardi (MBBS, BMedSci, GDipBiostats, MEpi, FRACP, PhD) is Principal Research Fellow at SAHMRI, and Head, Adolescent Health and Wellbeing at the Telethon Kids Institute.

He works with the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Research Program within Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity at SAHMRI. The Platform works in partnership with young people to understand their needs and the best ways to address these. This includes informing evidence-based policies and co-designing accessible and responsive services in partnership with policy makers and implementation partners both nationally and globally.

He was a contributor to the Lancet Commission on Adolescent health and wellbeing, and has consulted on adolescent health for government and organisations including DFAT, UNICEF, UNFPA and WHO. He also co-chairs WHO’s Global Action for Measurement in Adolescent Health.
