Public Profile

Mrs Phuong Dang’s expertise is in the field of molecular biology and her role as Research Officer is to assist in a range of projects within the Chronic Myeloid Leukamia (CML) Research Group. She has contributed to Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (TKI) drug transporter studies, the monitoring of minimal residual disease, the detection of patient-specific genomic BCR-ABL1 breakpoints and more recently investigations into the lineage of residual CML cells in Treatment Free Remission (TFR). Her current focus is on performing highly sensitive DNA QPCR and droplet digital PCR in sorted patient cells at the time of ceasing TKI treatment to investigate whether we can predict which patients will remain in TFR or relapse.
