Sarah is a research assistant for the Microbiome and Host Health Programme for the Lifelong Health theme at SAHMRI. She provides assistance to a variety of diverse projects that involves using the microbiome to address certain research objectives. This is related, but not limited to, chronic diseases, especially of the lung, amongst other projects that focus on the microbiome in different healthcare settings.

Sarah has spent more than 11 years working as a research assistant in multiple roles that have focussed on infectious disease, molecular biology, microbiology, parasitology, food microbiology and animal production science. She brings enthusiasm and a wide variety of skills to the team.
