Abstract

Ms. M. was a 25-year-old Filipino migrant, who had been trying to conceive for a year to an older Australian partner, who had 2 previous children. She reported regular menses. Her mother had some kind of kidney problem. Her blood pressure was normal. Urine dipstick showed 3+ protein. Routine investigations showed increased serum creatinine (150 μ mol/L) and a normal blood picture. Urine microscopy demonstrated no casts or cells, and culture showed no growth.
