Abstract
The syntheses and characterization of eight new 14 to 17-membered macrocycles incorporating O2N2-donor sets in the rings and pendant 2-pyridylmethyl or diethylaminoethyl groups, attached at one or both ring nitrogens, are reported. The X-ray structure of the mono(2-pyridylmethyl) derivative of the 15-membered macrocycle at c. 120 K is also described.
