Nitric oxide sensitive optic fiber sensor based on immobilized ruthenium(II) complex

A nitric oxide fiber dip sensor was developed by immobilizing ruthenium(II) complex on multimode fiber tip using silica sol-gel. The emitted fluorescence from fiber NO sensor showed linear dependence on NO concentration below 60°M.
