Abstract
Abstract— An examination was made of 817 children, mean age 6.9 years. Of their first permanent molars 42.4 per cent were assessed as suitable for fissure sealant. Of these teeth 522 were sealed and compared with contra‐lateral controls after one year. The retention rate of and the mean application time for the sealant are presented and discussed. 1976 Australian Dental Association
