Abstract

Abstract— A survey of more than 1,000 residents was undertaken. Of those aged 16 years and older, 31.4 per cent were edentulous and 83 per cent of these had full upper and lower dentures and 15 per cent had none; only 1.3 per cent were edentulous in the lower jaw and 12.6 per cent were edentulous in the upper jaw.
